Kazakhstan International Equipment, Ingredients & Technologies for Pharmaceutical Industry Exhibition

AZHAR GINIYAT, THE MINISTER OF HEALTHCARE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN, VISITED ASTANA ZDOROVIE AND PHARMATECH KAZAKHSTAN EXHIBITIONS OPENED IN ASTANA

Today, the Kazakhstan International Exhibitions “Healthcare” - Astana Zdorovie 2022 and “Equipment, Raw Materials and Technologies for the Pharmaceutical Industry” - PharmaTECH Kazakhstan 2022 have started their work at the EXPO IEC.

The official opening ceremony of the exhibitions was attended by A. Giniyat, the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, V.Yu. Dudnik, the Vice Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ye.S. Iskaliyev, the Chairman of the Management Board of SK-Pharmacy LLP, N.M. Petukhova, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Eurasian Medical Association, M.I. Durmanova, the President of the Association for the Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, V.N. Lokshin, the President of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan and B.A. Danilenko, the Director of Iteca Kazakhstan Exhibition Company.

After the official opening, the exposition was examined, where the participants presented the latest medicines, innovative solutions in the field of medical technology, laboratory equipment at their stands.

This year, 63 companies from Belarus, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey became participants in the expo sites, 50% of the participants are presenting a stand for the first time.

Most of the participants of the Astana Zdorovie 2022 exhibition are large Kazakhstani companies such as Ordamed, BTL Kazakhstan, Dolce, Oasis Group Distribution, QMP Qazmedpribor, Viva Pharm, Dos Orthopedia, Medical Service Kazakhstan, MEDRUG. Fresenius Kabi /Mpa Medical Partners, Registrarius, Viva Pharm, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Karaganda Pharmaceutical Complex, Mediana-Filter, Eikos-Pharm, Exon and others take part in the first pharmaceutical exhibition - PharmaTECH Kazakhstan.

Together with the opening of the exhibitions, the II International Pharmaceutical Forum “Global Pharm”, organized by QBP, Silk Way Development Fund with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and SK-Pharmacy LLP, began its work today. The forum was attended by representatives of WHO, UNICEF, public medical organizations and communities, international pharmaceutical companies, well-known pharmaceutical enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.

Addressing the participants of the Forum, Azhar Giniyat, the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted: “Today, the Republic of Kazakhstan is implementing the national health development program = “Healthy Nation”, which provides for the main target indicator - the life expectancy level. Astana Zdorovie 2022 exhibitions will certainly open up additional opportunities for all industry participants to discuss the current challenges facing the healthcare system in the near future, what global changes await the industry in the future”.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of unprecedented changes affecting the dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry today and the need to quickly adapt to key trends in the global pharmaceutical industry. Previously K.-J. Tokayev, the Head of State instructed to activate cooperation with global pharmaceutical corporations and ensure the transfer of technologies and the latest developments, as well as to increase the share of medicines and medical products of domestic production from 17% to 50% in 2025. To solve these problems, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry until 2025, adopted the National Project “HEALTHY NATION” for 2021-2025, where one of the directions is the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry.
The minister informed that at the moment the share of exports of domestically produced medicines is about 100 positions of medicines, and by 2025 it is proposed to increase the share of exports of medicines - up to 500 positions to neighboring countries, the EAEU and far abroad. Further, A. Giniyat spoke about the main promising areas for attracting foreign investment in the pharmaceutical industry, in which results are already visible. The final thematic session of the Forum was devoted to the topic “Digital Healthcare”.

Also, the content of the business program of the exhibitions included a seminar of 103.kz, the topic of which was the use of digital tools for the promotion of medicines and dietary supplements. The seminar and master class of the LONGEST REHAB SCHOOL aroused great interest of the audience. The master class was devoted to shock wave therapy and laser therapy in the treatment and rehabilitation of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and the expert speakers of the seminar opened the topic “Modern approach to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the musculoskeletal system”.

The exhibitions will continue for two more days, tomorrow the II International Forum on Medical Technology “MedTech” will take place, as well as seminars for exhibitors of the exhibitions - MedStandard and Longest Rehab School.
